All three of these readings were very interesting to me. I think they were very easy to relate to and understand because I am a college student. The article that struck me the most was when they talked about what employers look for in "Should More People Skip College". There are some jobs that you do not need a degree but employer’s only higher people who have a degree, why? I think this is because when you have a degree it makes you look more responsible and more willing to work hard at the job. In the article "College Degrees More Expensive, Worth Less in Job Market" they talk about how students go to college just because it is expected of them and how college puts students in debt. I think if you do not want to go to college you shouldn't go because you have to be ready to work hard and if you are not ready then you will be wasting your time and money. I believe there is something out in our world that everyone is good at and going to college shouldn't have to demine that. The last article "Skip College" stated that some people who come out of apprenticeship are more demand than college graduates. I agree with what they said and it got me thinking that we do not need college, as all as we need is experience in the field we want to in. If we were able to work alongside of someone for four years in the field that we want to be in I think we would learn more about that field then we ever will in college. From reading all three of these articles it makes me feel like college is just a money maker and is not necessary for us to get jobs.
